Sanyo Pedal Juice Review
Written by admin on October 13, 2010 – 8:51 pm -I was recently sent a Sanyo Pedal Juice to review, and after using it for a while, it’s definitely become a new part of my setup.
If this is the first you’re hearing about this product, it is a portable power supply that can be used to power anything from distortion pedals to keyboards. It comes with two 9V outputs, and can last up to around 50 hours before it needs charged again. In my experience the Pedal Juice does a great job at holding its charge. I’ve only had to charge it once or twice after a few weeks of moderate playing.
It is also very easy to use. It has a single on/off button which eliminates the need to unplug your pedals, and a 3 way LED that displays the current status of the charge.
Although I haven’t tested this, Sanyo also claims that it is water proof and shock resistant. That’s good to know, but hopefully I’ll never have to find that out for sure.
Perhaps the best part about the Pedal Juice is the “clean” type of power that it provides. It eliminates AC ground loops so if you’re using it to power a guitar pedal like I do, your tone will come out clear with no electrical interference.

It’s my new go-to device!
I run all my gear off it and set up where I want on the stage, I don’t have to worry about the house plugs, ground loops, how new my batteries are.

Glad you are liking Pedal Juice and it’s a part of your permanent set up (Full disclosure – as you can see from my screen name, I work for Sanyo)
I read that you have some concerns about it being shock resistant and water resistant, but don’t. You can drop it and it will work just fine and you can spill beer on it and it will work just fine…
And as a side note, that Pedal Juice unit you have will give you power for years – you get around 500 charges from a unit, and if you only need to charge it every few weeks…well, you can do the math!
