I have a 30 Watt Class A tube amp and the HT-Drive really adds a transparent, natural over-driven tone. The HT-Dual is set for a Marshall tone. Never had any problems after many months and they both sound fantastic. You know the tube in these are at work because after 20 minutes they get warmed-up and get creamier just like a normal tube amp. They come stock with a Sovtek 12AX7 which are fine but I changed them out with Ruby Tubes. Did not make a big difference but just a touch warmer. Not real easy to do and must be done with great care as the tube is in a tight spot. Blackstar does not recommend to open it up for good reason. I have this pedal and the HT-Dual Distortion.
