I have this pedal and the HT-Dual Distortion. I have a 30 Watt Class A tube amp and the HT-Drive really adds a transparent, natural over-driven tone. The HT-Dual is set for a Marshall tone. Never had any problems after many months and they both sound fantastic. You know the tube in these are at work because after 20 minutes they get warmed-up and get creamier just like a normal tube amp. They come stock with a Sovtek 12AX7 which are fine but I changed them out with Ruby Tubes. Did not make a big difference but just a touch warmer. Not real easy to do and must be done with great care as the tube is in a tight spot. Blackstar does not recommend to open it up for good reason.

i got to use one of these twice. lost the 16v power adaptor and guitar center will not special order it because it's under one hundred dollars and the people at blackstar will not return emails to get one. i actuallt bought the pedal and had to get it replaced at guitar center twice due to defects straight out of the box. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. guitar center does not give any support to it and blackstar does not give any support. buy a quality american product, i learned my lesson.
